Other Art Classes

Young Artist Drawing 1

3rd Grade - 5th Grade

For young artists interested in developing their realism and basic drawing techniques using graphite/charcoal. This class is for artists who have no prior experience AND artists who have prior training. *Space is limited. All supplies included.

  • Wednesdays 5:15PM-6:15PM

    Session: 09/13-12/13

Drawing Series

Much like learning a language, drawing is a learned skill. Learn the basics of drawing realistically in graphite and charcoal in Drawing 1 and Drawing 2. We will navigate highlight and shadow using these mediums, learn how to draw what we see, and gain an understanding of basic elements of composition. *Drawing 1 requires no prior experience. Drawing 2 requires Drawing 1 (previously known as The Art Garage “Drawing Workshop”).

  • Drawing 1: Saturdays 10:15-11:15AM

    Drawing 2: Wednesdays 6:30-7:30PM

    Session: 09/13-12/16

Painting Class

6th Grade - Adult

This Painting Class is an intensive that builds on pre-established drawing skills and begins incorporating color into images. This class will delve into color theory and how to create a color scheme, as well as teach how to manipulate paint on canvas to achieve the goal you want. All materials are provided. Space is limited. *This class is not for beginners at art, but it is for beginners at paint! You will need basic drawing skills for this class and are expected to understand basic techniques. We highly encourage the Drawing Series as a pre-requisite for this class, as we consider it to be a "pre-painting" class.
